Enanie Named 2001 Showtime Intern

JUNE 11, 2001 Amira Enanie has been selected as the Showtime intern for this year's Adham Center graduating class.

The announcement was made at the Adham Center annual awards dinner, held tonight in Oriental Hall at AUC, by Showtime representatives.

This is the second year of Showtime's annual internship program for graduating Adham Center students. Gulf DTH/Showtime CEO Peter Einstein announced the establishment of the internships at the 2000 annual awards dinner, where he was also appointed an Associate of the Adham Center. The interns spend three months working in London with Showtime, all expenses paid, and have the opportunity to experience various aspects of the television business.

Amira said that she sees this opportunity as an ideal first step after graduation. "I'm happy to have the chance to gain professional experience from such a great organization, and at the same time excited to be living in London," said Amira.

Amira hopes to pursue a career in theatre arts and documentary film, and is especially interested in Showtime because of its position as a leader in providing Western entertainment in the Middle East.
